After five intensive days and three very testing duplicate sessions, Diana Withers-Green and Ann Stark have become the 2019 Victores Ludorum at Hotel Tresanton. From bridge on the train on the way down to Cornwall, through numerous set hands, bidding problems, three duplicate sessions (at which they managed a second place and a massive win in the final event), Ann and Diana emerged triumphant. Much excellent food, bracing walks, laughter and intense concentration were enjoyed by all 32 participants in this, the twenty second iteration of the Tresanton Bridge Week.
This year, the autumn Term at Roehampton Club ends with some special events. Here's the schedule: No classes week of 18-22nd November, as Paul at Tresanton for the Bridge Week. Classes as usual 25-29th November and 2-6th December. Official term ends. Wednesday 11th December 10.30am Christmas Special ~ Wednesday morning and afternoon students invited ~ a selection of set hands, Christmas treats, and chocolates Friday 13th December 10.00am ~ Last Friday of the Year All the usual Coub Class Activities with Christmas Bonuses Spring Term commences Monday 27th January 2020
